Stig Lindberg vase
This large ceramic vase, model Veckla, was designed by Stig Lindberg for Gustavsberg in Sweden. The form is characteristic of Lindberg’s sculptural design language, with softly flowing curves and an asymmetric, folded silhouette that gives the piece a sense of motion and lightness. The matte white glaze accentuates the organic shape and adds a refined, tactile surface quality.
Stig Lindberg (1916–1982) was one of Sweden’s most celebrated designers, known for his versatility across ceramics, glass, and industrial design. His works for Gustavsberg during the mid-20th century embody the essence of Scandinavian modernism—functional, playful, and distinctly sculptural.
This vase remains in good vintage condition, showing small signs of use consistent with age. It represents a timeless example of Lindberg’s ability to merge art and utility within a minimalist, modern framework.
