Tapio Wirkkala vase

Sterling silver vase model TW17, designed by Tapio Wirkkala and produced in Finland, is an elegant and sculptural object from the 1950s. The piece is crafted in solid sterling silver, marked 925, and stands on a square base of rosewood, which adds warmth and contrast to the polished metal surface. The design is minimalistic and organic, with a softly twisting form that rises vertically before tapering to a narrow opening, showing Wirkkala’s characteristic approach to fluid, nature-inspired shapes.
