Poul Henningsen ceiling lamp
This rare pendant lamp is the PH 4/4 model designed by Poul Henningsen and produced by Louis Poulsen in Denmark. It belongs to Henningsen’s iconic PH series, developed to provide glare-free illumination through a carefully engineered system of layered shades that diffuse light evenly and softly.
The lamp features a large, slightly convex copper top shade that has developed a natural patina over time, contributing to its vintage character. Below this, a series of white opal glass diffusers are arranged in a tiered configuration, further softening and distributing the light. The central column and suspension elements are crafted from brass, which shows age-related oxidation, adding authenticity and depth to the piece’s overall aesthetic.
