Poul Henningsen ceiling lamp

The PH-5/5 ceiling lamp, designed by Poul Henningsen in the 1940s and produced by Louis Poulsen, is an early and rare example of Danish modern lighting design. This particular lamp has historical provenance, originating from the Maglemølle paper factory, which adds significant context to its value and importance.

Constructed from solid copper with a nickel-plated socket housing, the PH-5/5 showcases Henningsen’s signature multi-shade system, which was designed to provide soft, glare-free illumination. The layered structure consists of three gradually decreasing shades, each strategically positioned to diffuse light evenly and minimize harsh shadows.
