Svante Skogh
Svante Skogh (1908–1988) was a Swedish furniture designer and interior architect associated with the development of Swedish modern furniture during the mid-20th century. He is particularly known for his collaboration with Seffle Möbelfabrik, where he created furniture distinguished by refined craftsmanship, functional construction, and a clear modernist design language.
Biography
Svante Skogh studied at Konstfack in Stockholm and became active as a designer during the 1940s and 1950s, a period marked by the expansion of Swedish furniture production and international interest in Scandinavian design. His work often balanced practical functionality with carefully considered proportions, reflecting the ideals of Swedish modernism.
During his collaboration with Seffle Möbelfabrik, Skogh developed a range of seating and storage furniture that gained recognition for its quality and durability.
