Table lamps
A pair of cylindrical table lamps in brushed steel, produced in Scandinavia during the 1960s. The lamps feature a minimalist construction consisting of a seamless tubular steel body with a matte surface finish that gives a soft, silvery tone. The cylindrical form is pure and functional, emphasizing proportion and material rather than ornament. Each lamp rests on a flat circular base that continues the clean geometric logic of the design.
The sockets have adjustable metal arms for supporting a lampshade. The lamps were originally designed to accommodate fabric shades, but are offered here without shades, allowing for customization according to the intended setting or lighting quality. The simplicity of the form and the honest use of materials reflect the Scandinavian modernist approach, where clarity of structure and restraint in detail were central to the aesthetic of the period.
The pair remains in good vintage condition, with small marks and subtle patina consistent with age and use. The brushed steel surfaces have retained an even tone and texture, giving the lamps a timeless industrial character.
