Ceiling lamps
This is a rare pair of ceiling lamps crafted in chromed steel, likely produced in Sweden during the 1930s. The design is distinctly Art Deco, characterized by its geometric symmetry, streamlined elements, and a combination of spherical and cylindrical forms. The construction features a central vertical rod with three evenly spaced horizontal arms, each supporting a spherical glass shade with a bubbled texture, creating a warm and diffused light effect. Below the central hub, decorative chrome discs are mounted on a vertical stem, culminating in a polished sphere that balances the composition visually and structurally.
The lamps are executed entirely in chromed steel, giving them a reflective, modernist appearance typical of early 20th-century industrial design. The chrome finish exhibits natural patina and light signs of usage consistent with their age, adding to their authenticity and vintage character. These fixtures would have been considered luxurious and progressive in their time, merging functionality with sculptural presence.
Condition is good vintage, with some surface wear and aging visible on the chrome, which does not detract from their striking presence. Their scale and refined details make them well-suited for large spaces seeking an authentic Art Deco statement.
