Anders Pehrson hanging candelabra
Rare hanging candelabra designed by Anders Pehrson and produced by Ateljé Lyktan in Åhus, Sweden, during the 1950s. This piece is constructed from black lacquered metal with eight brass candle holders and clear glass storm shades, suspended from a brass chain with a circular brass ring for hanging. The design forms a balanced, cross-shaped structure with four horizontal arms and a central vertical stem, giving it a sculptural and architectural presence.
The candelabra combines robust materials with refined proportions, typical of mid-century Scandinavian design, while the clear glass shades amplify the warm glow of candlelight and protect the flame. The brass surfaces show natural patina, adding to its vintage character.
Good vintage condition with signs of age and use, consistent with its history. This candelabra is both a functional lighting object and a striking decorative centerpiece.
