Arne Norell easy chair
Rare easy chair model Löven designed by Arne Norell and produced by Arne Norell AB in Aneby, Sweden, during the 1960s. The frame is crafted in solid walnut, displaying a rich, deep tone and beautifully sculpted curvature that defines both the armrests and the three horizontal back supports. The construction reflects Norell’s mastery of craftsmanship, balancing structural precision with organic form.
The cushions are upholstered in original cognac brown buffalo leather, showing a warm patina and light natural wear consistent with age. The tufted seat and back cushions provide exceptional comfort and emphasize the chair’s artisanal character. The combination of supple leather and solid walnut gives the piece an elegant and tactile presence, characteristic of Scandinavian mid-century furniture design.

His work, including the Löven model, combines modernist simplicity with luxurious materiality, representing the high point of Swedish furniture craftsmanship of the era.
