Arne Norell easy chair
This rare easy chair model “Inca” complete with matching stool, was designed by Arne Norell and produced by Arne Norell AB in Aneby, Sweden during the 1960s. The construction features a dark stained beech wood frame with a structure composed of cylindrical and cross-lathed elements, demonstrating careful Scandinavian craftsmanship. The seat, backrest, and arm cushions are upholstered in original brown leather, richly patinated with natural creasing. Leather straps and brass buckles are used structurally on the back and underside, providing both adjustability and a decorative element typical of Norell’s work. The lounge chair offers a relaxed yet supportive seating experience, complemented by the stool that mirrors the same materiality and construction.
