Bronze vase

Information

Rare Art Deco / Jugend vase executed in bronze, dating to the 1920s–1930s. The piece reflects the transitional aesthetic between late Jugendstil and early Art Deco, combining classical figural motifs with a more geometric and architectural form.

The vase is designed with a faceted, tapering body rising from a stepped base, culminating in a polygonal opening. Its vertical structure and sharp planes contrast with the softly modeled relief figures applied to each side. These figures depict stylized, nude human forms in motion—dancing, gesturing, and playing instruments—rendered in a manner that recalls classical antiquity while maintaining the restrained stylization typical of the period.

The bronze surface has developed a warm, rich patina with natural variations in tone, ranging from golden brown to deeper, darker areas. The surface shows subtle wear, small marks, and irregularities that enhance the depth and character of the material. The interior presents a darker oxidation, consistent with age and use.

Measurements: height 24 cm (9.4 inches), width 13 cm (5.1 inches), depth 11 cm (4.3 inches).

In good vintage condition with small signs of usage. The surface shows minor wear and patina consistent with age, contributing to its authenticity and visual appeal.
