Candlestick

Information

Decorative six-arm candlestick produced in brass, most likely in Denmark during the 1950s. The sculptural form features elegantly curved candle arms radiating from a central cylindrical stem, creating a balanced and organic silhouette characteristic of Scandinavian mid-century decorative arts. The restrained geometry and soft flowing lines reflect the understated sophistication associated with Nordic modernism of the period.

Executed entirely in brass with a warm natural patina developed over decades of age and use, the candlestick displays a refined interplay between functional object and decorative centerpiece. The shallow circular drip tray base supports six asymmetrically arranged candle holders, lending the piece a dynamic architectural presence while maintaining visual lightness. The varying heights and looping curves of the arms create an expressive composition from every angle.

The candlestick functions equally well as a utilitarian candleholder and as a sculptural decorative object. Its compact scale and elegant proportions make it suitable for dining tables, sideboards, or shelf displays, while the aged brass surface contributes warmth and authenticity.

In good vintage condition with minor signs of wear and patina consistent with age and use.

Dimensions: 27 cm diameter, 21 cm height (10.63 in diameter, 8.27 in height).
