Dyrlund trolley
This rare serving trolley was produced by Dyrlund in Denmark during the 1960s. Constructed primarily from solid rosewood with veneered surfaces, the trolley features two fixed trays inset with green formica. While the designer remains unknown, the piece exhibits the refined craftsmanship and high material quality characteristic of Dyrlund’s mid-century production.
The frame is composed of softly sculpted forms with gently rounded corners and tapering cylindrical legs. The upper handle rails curve subtly outward, serving both as a functional grip and a design element that contributes to the piece’s light, fluid silhouette. The rosewood displays rich reddish-brown and dark brown tones, accentuated by expressive linear grain patterns. The green formica insets have a matte finish that provides practical durability while maintaining visual contrast and clarity within the overall design. The trolley rests on four spherical chrome casters, enabling smooth mobility without disrupting the clean geometric lines.
The trolley is preserved in very good vintage condition, showing minor signs of wear consistent with its age and use. The formica surfaces exhibit only light use marks, and the wooden frame remains well maintained, with slight surface patina present on the casters.
