Information

This rare pair of easy chairs, model FD125, was designed by Tove & Edvard Kindt-Larsen and produced by France & Son in Denmark during the 1950s. The frames are crafted from solid teak, displaying the warm tones and grain patterns characteristic of the wood, and they have been carefully preserved to maintain their natural finish. The chairs have been newly reupholstered in a high-quality linen fabric, bringing a fresh and elegant contrast to the teak structure.

The design of model FD125 reflects the Kindt-Larsens’ refined approach to Danish modernism, combining sculptural presence with ergonomic comfort. The angular frame construction is marked by the distinctive V-shaped back support that adds both strength and a visually striking detail to the rear view. The gently curved armrests and low, open stance emphasize a lightness of form while offering excellent seating comfort.

These chairs are in excellent vintage condition, with newly restored upholstery and well-preserved wooden frames that show only minimal, age-appropriate wear. The combination of original craftsmanship and careful restoration ensures that they remain faithful to their mid-century character while ready for contemporary use.

Dimensions are 75 cm in width, 80 cm in depth, and 76 cm in height, with a seat height of 41 cm, corresponding to approximately 29.5 x 31.5 x 29.9 inches, seat height 16.1 inches.
