Viggo Boesen easy chairs

This very rare pair of easy chairs was designed by Danish architect and designer Viggo Boesen and produced by Hos Wulff in Denmark during the 1930s. The chairs feature a stained beechwood frame characterized by elegantly curved armrests that flow seamlessly into the front legs, creating a sculptural and organic form. The back legs are subtly angled to ensure stability and visual balance. The chairs have been newly reupholstered in natural sheepskin, adding softness and warmth while preserving the integrity of the original design. The plush, textured upholstery closely follows the contours of the frame, emphasizing the inviting, voluminous shape that is a hallmark of Boesen’s work.

Measuring 83 centimeters in width, 85 centimeters in depth, and 81 centimeters in height (approximately 32.7 by 33.5 by 31.9 inches), with a seat height of 40 centimeters (15.7 inches), the chairs feature a high, curved backrest and generously padded seat that deliver exceptional comfort without compromising a visually light presence.
