Lisa Johansson-Pape table lamp

This table lamp was designed by Lisa Johansson-Pape and produced by Stockmann-Orno in Finland during the 1950s. The lamp features a lacquered aluminum shade in a deep brown tone with a soft matte finish. The central stem is wrapped in spiral-stitched tan leather, adding a tactile contrast to the metallic elements. Lisa Johansson-Pape (1907–1989) was a leading figure in Finnish lighting design, known for her work with Orno and Stockmann. Her approach was rooted in functionality and technical precision, and she often experimented with new materials and reflectivity to improve the quality of illumination. Her designs have become synonymous with Finnish modernism and remain highly regarded for their timeless simplicity.

Stockmann-Orno was Finland’s foremost lighting manufacturer during the mid-20th century, recognized for its close collaborations with the country’s most prominent designers. The company’s production combined industrial manufacturing with a strong emphasis on craftsmanship and innovation in lighting technology.
