Ceiling lamps
Rare pair of ceiling lamps produced in Sweden during the 1930s, executed in opaline glass with solid brass fittings. The lamps belong to the Art Deco period and display a refined balance between classical proportion and restrained decorative detailing, characteristic of Scandinavian lighting from the interwar years.
Each lamp features a generously shaped opaline glass shade with a softly flared profile, providing an even and atmospheric diffusion of light. The glass is complemented by patinated brass ceiling cups, suspension rods, and turned finials, all exhibiting the warm tone and subtle aging associated with original brass from this period. The construction is elegant yet robust, with carefully proportioned metal elements that frame the glass without overpowering it.
These ceiling lamps are well suited for living rooms, dining areas, or entrance halls, where their sculptural form and warm illumination can be fully appreciated. When lit, the opaline glass produces a soft, ambient glow that enhances the architectural presence of the fixtures while maintaining a calm and balanced light quality.
The lamps are in good vintage condition, with minor signs of wear consistent with age and use. The glass shades are well preserved, and the brass components show an attractive natural patina.
