Information

Rare floor lamp model 2063 designed by Lisa Johansson-Pape and produced by Stockmann-Orno in Finland during the 1950s. Executed in brass with a slender, elegantly curved stem wrapped with spiral detailing toward the lower section, resting on a circular weighted brass base. The lamp is fitted with a pleated textile shade that diffuses the light softly and creates a warm atmospheric glow when illuminated.

Lisa Johansson-Pape is regarded as one of the most influential Finnish lighting designers of the mid-century period, celebrated for her refined understanding of light and proportion. Her work for Stockmann-Orno combined functional modernism with understated elegance, often utilizing brass and softly shaped silhouettes that became characteristic of Scandinavian lighting design from the post-war era. Model 2063 exemplifies this approach through its restrained organic form and carefully balanced proportions.

The warm patinated brass surface together with the lightly tapered shade gives the lamp a sophisticated architectural presence while maintaining a delicate visual expression. The adjustable shade allows the direction of light to be altered, making the lamp suitable both as a reading lamp and as atmospheric interior lighting.

Good vintage condition with minor age-related wear and patina to the brass. The shade shows light signs of age and use consistent with time.
