Arne Vodder sideboard
This rare sideboard, model 29, designed by Arne Vodder and produced by Sibast Møbelfabrik in Denmark during the 1950s, is a quintessential example of Scandinavian modernism. Crafted from teak, it showcases the wood’s warm, rich tones and prominent grain patterns, highlighting the natural beauty of the material. The design balances aesthetics with functionality through a combination of sliding doors and drawers. The reversible doors offer an option between natural teak or sleek black panels, enhancing versatility in interior styling.
Integrated recessed handles maintain the minimalist and streamlined look, while six drawers with sculpted fronts on the right add both visual interest and practical storage. The sideboard rests on tapered, solid teak legs, lending a sense of lightness and elegance to the piece. A subtle raised back edge completes the refined silhouette.
