Ceiling lamp
This rare Art Deco ceiling lamp was produced in Sweden, likely during the 1930s or early 1940s. The fixture features an elegant two-tiered design constructed from glass and nickel-plated metal, combining sculptural form with decorative geometry characteristic of the Art Deco movement.
The lamp consists of two flared glass elements, one inverted above the other, both executed in a soft amber-yellow tone with a satin finish. These glass forms are decorated with alternating frosted and clear etched linear patterns arranged in radial and concentric segments. The upper section mimics a trumpet shape while the lower, broader element serves as the primary light diffuser. A black spherical finial anchors the bottom, adding a contrasting accent and visual completion to the composition.
The structure is suspended from a polished nickel-plated metal canopy and rod, which visually balances the warmer tones of the glass. The central mounting stem runs through both glass components, maintaining alignment and structural integrity. The overall form creates a strong vertical axis while retaining symmetry and decorative dynamism in line with the Art Deco aesthetic.
Condition is excellent with minor age-appropriate signs of patina on the nickel hardware. The glass elements are well preserved with no cracks or major blemishes and retain their original satin and etched finishes.
