Bar stools

This pair of bar stools was produced in Denmark during the 1960s and exemplifies the Scandinavian mid-century approach to both form and materiality. Each stool features a cylindrical central column in rosewood veneer, mounted on a circular base supported by short legs. The top is fitted with a round, slightly domed seat upholstered in black leather with a central button tuft, giving a subtle sculptural detail to the otherwise minimal design. Horizontal steel footrests project symmetrically from the central column, their brushed finish contrasting with the warm tone of the rosewood.

The stools are constructed with a focus on durability and simplicity, characteristic of mid-century Scandinavian craftsmanship. The rosewood veneer presents a rich grain pattern, lending visual depth to the otherwise restrained geometry.
