Bergboms wall lamps
This is a pair of wall lamps, model V-118, produced by Bergboms in Sweden during the 1950s. Each lamp features a curved brass arm with a circular wall mount, supporting a spherical shade in textured amber-colored glass. The glass is characterized by a crackled surface that produces a distinctive light effect, casting soft, patterned reflections when illuminated. The brass retains its original warm patina, which adds depth and character to the overall appearance.
The pair is in good vintage condition with minor signs of wear consistent with age and use. One of the glass globes shows a crack, but both remain intact and fully functional. The brass surfaces display an even tone and have developed a natural, slightly matte finish over time.
Bergboms was a prominent Swedish lighting manufacturer active during the mid-20th century, known for its collaborations with leading Scandinavian designers and its production of modernist lighting fixtures in brass, steel, and glass. The V-118 model is an example of the company’s emphasis on simple geometric forms combined with expressive materials, creating pieces that are both functional and decorative.
