Hans-Agne Jakobsson wall lamps
This rare pair of wall lamps, model V-180, was designed by Hans-Agne Jakobsson and produced by Hans-Agne Jakobsson AB in Markaryd, Sweden during the 1950s. With their sculptural form and warm material palette, they represent a distinctive example of Swedish mid-century lighting where elegance and atmosphere were central qualities.
The lamps are crafted in brass with a softly domed glass shade in a rich amber tone. The combination creates a striking contrast between the reflective golden brass and the translucent glass, while the layered construction gives the lamps a bold, almost planetary character. When lit, the glass produces a deep, warm glow and throws dramatic, decorative reflections onto the wall behind.
Each lamp measures 30 x 22 x 36 cm (11.81 x 8.66 x 14.17 inches). They are in good vintage condition, showing only small signs of use consistent with age, with light surface wear to the brass.
