Harald Notini floor lamp
Floor lamp model 15250, designed by Harald Notini and produced by Arvid Böhlmarks Lampfabrik in Sweden during the 1940s. The lamp is constructed entirely in brass, now aged with a natural patina that enhances its sculptural presence. The design features a circular base that supports a slender tubular stem, leading to a wide, upward-facing bowl-shaped reflector.
The reflector is perforated along its upper perimeter with a rhythmic series of small star-shaped holes, adding a decorative yet functional element that creates subtle patterns of light on the surrounding walls and ceiling. Originally, the lamp would have included a glass diffuser mounted above the brass bowl, which is now missing. Despite this absence, the lamp remains fully functional and structurally complete.
The overall aesthetic reflects a transitional style between functionalist and decorative modernism, with minimal ornamentation apart from the pierced star motif. The craftsmanship is consistent with Böhlmarks’ high production standards during the mid-20th century.
The lamp measures 171 cm in height and the shade has a diameter of 45 cm (67.3 × 17.7 in). Condition is good vintage with even patina and wear to the brass surfaces consistent with age and use.
