Harald Notini table lamp
This table lamp was designed by Harald Notini and produced by Arvid Böhlmarks lampfabrik in Sweden during the 1950s. The lamp exemplifies Scandinavian modern design through its thoughtful combination of materials and refined craftsmanship. Its base and stem are made from solid beechwood, featuring a fluted profile that adds subtle texture and warmth. This natural wood element transitions smoothly into a brass fixture that supports the shade.
The shade itself is conical and made of brass, with perforations along the lower edge that allow diffused light to escape, creating a decorative pattern when illuminated. The brass surfaces display an aged patina with areas of oxidation and wear consistent with the lamp’s vintage age. The underside of the base is stamped with a model number, indicating its authenticity. The lamp operates via a pull-switch located conveniently on the base.
