Paavo Tynell table lamp

This table lamp, model number 5321, known as the “Shell” lamp, was designed by Paavo Tynell and produced by Taito Oy in Finland during the 1940s. Paavo Tynell is celebrated as one of Finland’s most influential lighting designers, renowned for his ability to combine functional modernism with poetic form. Taito Oy was his principal manufacturer during the early part of his career and was instrumental in realizing many of his most iconic lighting objects.
