Lysberg, Hansen & Therp side tables
This rare pair of side or cocktail tables was produced by Lysberg, Hansen & Therp in Denmark during the 1940s. Reflecting mid-century Scandinavian design with neoclassical and Art Deco influences, the tables combine delicate structure with refined craftsmanship.
Each table features a polished brass frame supporting a circular mirror glass top. The slender central column branches out into three gracefully curved legs, lending a lightweight and elegant profile. A finely detailed perforated brass gallery encircles the glass surface, both securing it and adding a decorative element that enhances the overall sophistication. The mirrored tabletop amplifies light and visual space, contributing to the tables’ airy and luxurious aesthetic.
Lysberg, Hansen & Therp was renowned for producing high-quality furniture and interiors, often collaborating with prominent designers and focusing on premium materials and detailed finishes. These tables exemplify that legacy, suitable for refined residential or commercial settings.
Each table measures 45.5 cm in diameter and 57 cm in height (17.9 x 22.4 inches). The pair remains in well-preserved condition, exhibiting a natural patina on the brass consistent with age, alongside minor wear on the mirror glass. They represent a rare and elegant example of Danish mid-century craftsmanship.
