This rare height-adjustable floor lamp, produced in Sweden by an unknown designer, is a refined example of mid-century lighting design, combining function with understated decorative detail. The lamp is constructed entirely from brass, including the cylindrical stem, articulating arm, and circular base. The brass exhibits a warm, golden tone that has developed a natural patina over time, particularly around areas of handling and mechanical adjustment, such as the height joint and pivoting components.

The design features a vertical stem mounted on a broad circular base, ensuring structural stability. An adjustable mechanism within the stem allows the lamp to be raised or lowered within a height range of 128 cm to 180 cm. The brass adjustment screw and articulating arm permit flexible directional lighting, making the lamp suitable for reading or ambient applications. The arm’s pivot point and sliding mechanism are precise and well-integrated into the overall structure, contributing to both its visual and mechanical cohesion.

The lampshade is made from pleated fabric in a soft beige hue, producing a subtle interplay of light and shadow when illuminated.
