Floor lamps
This pair of height-adjustable uplight floor lamps was produced in Sweden during the 1960s. They are composed of brass and black lacquered metal, giving them a refined yet functional presence. Each lamp is fitted with three conical shades made of a light fabric with a subtle texture, newly replaced to match the original style. The diffused light they emit creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, suitable for both ambient and task lighting.
The design features a slim brass central stem that can be adjusted in height, with a manual adjustment lever near the middle section. The lower part of the stand is wrapped in black lacquered detailing, which contrasts elegantly with the brass above. The base is formed from three slender rods that converge in a circular support ring, giving the lamps a sense of lightness and stability at the same time.
These lamps are representative of Scandinavian mid-century design, which favored simple geometric forms, a harmonious balance of materials, and a focus on functionality. Their combination of brass, black lacquered steel, and fabric shades reflects the era’s preference for warm, tactile finishes and its emphasis on atmospheric lighting.
Each lamp measures 41 cm in diameter and is height adjustable between 130 and 165 cm (approximately 16.1 x 51.2–65 inches). They are in good vintage condition with light patina and minor signs of wear, consistent with age, which contribute to their authentic character.
