Paavo Tynell ceiling lamp
This rare ceiling lamp, model 9068, was designed by Paavo Tynell and produced by Idman in Finland during the 1950s. The lamp features a square-shaped white lacquered metal shade with a perforated surface, allowing for a subtle diffusion of light. The perforations in the shade create a soft, ambient glow, enhancing the atmosphere of any room while minimizing glare.
The lower part of the lamp incorporates a brass grid structure, which not only directs and softens the light but also adds a refined architectural quality to the design. The cylindrical brass mounting section provides a striking contrast to the white metal body, further enhancing the visual appeal of the lamp.
