Fog & Mørup wall lamps
These rare wall lamps were produced by Fog & Mørup in Denmark during the 1950s. Each lamp features a rectangular brass backplate with a folded, faceted design that creates depth and geometric play when illuminated. The three cylindrical bulb holders project slightly from the base, directing light outward and reflecting it off the brass surface to create a warm, atmospheric glow. The outer casing is finished in white lacquered metal, contrasting elegantly with the polished brass interior.
The lamps are in good vintage condition, showing only minor wear consistent with age, including light surface marks and a gentle patina on the brass that enhances their mid-century character. The construction is solid, and the original fittings remain intact.
Fog & Mørup was one of Denmark’s most influential lighting manufacturers of the mid-20th century, known for collaborating with leading designers to create modernist fixtures that combined functionality with sculptural form. These lamps represent the company’s focus on architectural lighting solutions that integrate seamlessly with interiors while serving as decorative focal points.
Each lamp measures 24 cm in width, 12 cm in depth, and 27 cm in height, which corresponds to approximately 9.4 x 4.7 x 10.6 inches. Their modular, rectangular format makes them suitable for installation either singly or in a row, ideal for hallways, living rooms, or as statement bedside lighting.
