Table lamps
This pair of table lamps was produced by Fagerhults Belysning in Sweden during the 1950s. The lamps feature cylindrical glass bases composed of a frosted white interior layer encased by a clear outer layer, creating a subtle visual depth. The glass bases are topped with circular brass plates that support the lamp holders, also made of brass and exhibiting a patina consistent with age and use.
The design aligns with the Scandinavian mid-century modern aesthetic, emphasizing minimalist forms and the use of quality materials. The glass construction diffuses light softly when the lamps are in use, while the brass components provide a warm contrast to the cool tones of the glass. Founded in 1945, Fagerhults Belysning became recognized for its functional and well-crafted lighting designs, which were widely incorporated in Scandinavian interiors.
The lamps are in vintage condition, showing wear appropriate to their age, including natural patination on the brass surfaces. They are offered without lampshades. Each lamp base measures 9.5 cm in diameter and the height is 34 cm (3.7 x 13.4 inches).
